15. Dynamic range
Night Mode is the Siege player's preferred dynamic range setting as it provides the most useful audio experience for competitive Siege games. Night mode reduces game sound quality, but gives players a wider and more detailed dynamic range. This means that with Night Mode, players will be able to hear sounds further away than with other dynamic range options.
The real beauty of night mode is that it allows gamers to better detect quiet sounds. It means small sounds made by small movements such as changing positions or bending over and over. Almost every movement in Siege makes a sound, and Night Mode will detect these better than other dynamic range options. To take full advantage of Night Mode's potential, I recommend using good quality 7.1 headphones with spatial sound.
What you need to set to:
- nattilstand
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to sound
- Find the dynamic range and set it to night mode
14. Brightness
Many siege players ignore this setting, as increasing the brightness reduces image quality and lowering it obviously makes it harder for players to locate enemies. So most players simply chose to leave it alone. But adjusting it can make a big difference between being able to detect enemies. Of course, you shouldn't make it too bright. This, in turn, can negatively affect your vision. My suggestion is to adjust to 55-60.
Brightness goes a long way towards giving players more visibility, especially since there are places in the game where enemies are hard to spot. By adjusting brightness and other settings, which we will discuss in detail below, you will be able to better distinguish enemies from your map background or other elements. This also works great when you adjust the digital vibration to about 60% in the Nvidia control panel.
What you need to set to:
- 55-60
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- Show
- Find the brightness and set it to 55-60
13. HUD settings
Reducing the number of things that can block your line of sight will greatly help your siege. One of the best ways to do this is to change your HUD settings. Many of the default HUDs that appear on the screen are really unnecessary and only help true newbies to the game. Some of these are charge inputs, attitude indicators, general reminders, operator crosses and destroyed drones.
They may only take up a small portion of the screen, but in a siege where enemies can appear from any angle, these small parts matter a lot. Once you're comfortable with siege mechanics, you no longer need the settings I mentioned above. Most of them are just reminders of which keys to press to perform certain actions. They just block your view unnecessarily.
What you need to set to:
- Loading input - off
- Attitude indicator - off
- General Warnings - Off
- Operator Cross - Off
- Drone destroyed - Closed
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- Go for HUD
- Find load inputs, attitude indicators, general reminders, operator crosses and broken drones and turn them off
12. Texture quality
Texture quality is one of those game graphics settings that can really affect your system resources as well as your visibility. Setting it to Very High or Ultra will greatly improve the game's graphical quality, but will negatively affect how you identify enemies, as a high texture quality setting will add more detail to the game's backgrounds and objects. difficulty seeing enemies.
Imagine imagining an enemy in Oregon's room with him at his bedside. Wouldn't it be easier to identify this enemy if the bed looked more modest? This is why most professional players play on the lowest graphics settings except for shadows, because setting shadows to the lowest setting will remove enemy shadows, which you can sometimes use to locate them. Reducing texture quality will also significantly improve system performance, the higher the frame rate, the better your reflections and movement ability.
What you need to set to:
- lav
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to graphics
- Find the texture quality and set it to low
11. Ambient occlusion
Like texture quality above, ambient occlusion is great for improving the look of your game. I always leave it on or set to high when I'm only playing non-competitive single player games. But in a competitive game like Siege, where practicality is paramount, Ambient Occlusion is best turned off. What it really does is improve the game's lighting, sort of fix it. But in Siege it produces thinner, deeper shadows.
This is not good as it makes the dark corners of the map even darker. Helps enemies with darker skin to better hide in darker areas and corners. Turning it off can make a big difference in enemy detection, and since Ambient Occlusion in any game tends to consume a lot of system resources, turning it off will also significantly improve frame rate.
What you need to set to:
- to leave
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to graphics
- Find ambient occlusion and turn it off
10. Sombra
Like the two settings above, high shadow settings can be system-heavy in any game, slowing frame rates. This is good for non-competitive single player games like RPGs as you can play them at 50-60 fps. But with Siege you want the highest frame rate possible and lowering the shadow setting will give you even more. But lowering the shader settings in Siege isn't just about system performance.
You also get an advantage in terms of visibility, as lower shadow settings prevent the game from casting deeper shadows cast by objects on the map. So you can see enemies more clearly even if they are in a dark area. But remember that the lowest setting for shadows should be medium. That way, enemies will still have shadows, and sometimes you'll be able to spot them through their own shadows.
What you need to set to:
- Moderate
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to graphics
- find the shadow and set it to mean
9. Nvidia Reflection
Nvidia Reflex is one of Siege's newest features and one of the biggest additions to the game to date, as it can drastically affect game performance. The purpose of enabling Nvidia Reflex is to reduce system latency. So far, from Nvidia's testing and my personal experience, the game feels much smoother after turning it on.
According to Nvidia test results, Nvidia Reflex can reduce system latency by around 30%. That's huge, especially in a competitive game like Siege where every millisecond counts. You may have a naturally fast reaction time, but if your system can't keep up, you're basically limiting your potential. Therefore, it is better to always have Nvidia Reflex enabled and enjoy all the benefits you can get.
Please note that to enable Nvidia Reflex, you need to launch the game with the Vulkan version. If you start the game with the standard version of DirectX 11, you will not see Nvidia Reflex in the settings.
What you need to set to:
- TO + INCREASE
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to graphics
- Find Nvidia Reflex and set it to On + Boost
8. Sensitivity
Sensitivity can greatly affect your aim, and the effectiveness of each sensitivity value affects each player differently. This means that a sensitivity setting that works for player A may not work for player B. But in general, most players will benefit from high horizontal sensitivity and low vertical sensitivity. This is because most of the major adjustments you will need to make are lateral. In games, you rarely need to make large, quick aiming adjustments in the vertical direction.
With high horizontal sensitivity and low vertical sensitivity, your reticle will be more stable and also help with reticle positioning. This will also help you react quickly to enemies on the sides of the screen and even your blind spot when they come after you and you have to quickly turn around and fight back. Low vertical sensitivity helps suppress recoil.
What you need to set to:
- horizontal alta
- falls down
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to check
- Find the sensitivity and make horizontal sensitivity high and vertical sensitivity low
7. Linseeffekter
The lens effects that come with the flowers can provide beautiful sun effects in Oregon, unfortunately the bright sun and lens effects can actually have a negative effect on your ability to find spawn points. And Lens Effects doesn't only adjust sunlight in the game, there are many other lights in the game that emit a stronger light when Lens Effects is on, and these light effects can block your visibility, so it is highly recommended to turn this feature off.
Disabling lens effects not only lets you see enemies more clearly, it also reduces eye strain, which is great if you plan on playing Siege for a few hours. Of course, it also uses system resources, so turning it off should have a positive impact on your frame rate. Finally, if you're worried that disabling this feature will make Valkyrie's Black Eyes less noticeable, don't worry, I tested them and their blue light was pretty much the same with and without Lens Effects disabled. This really only affects other lights in the game.
What you need to set to:
- to leave
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to graphics
- Find lens effects and turn them off
6. Turn the key again
Rebinding your keys is a bit like the sensitivity settings above, no single setting will work for everyone, so you're better off experimenting with what key combinations work best for you, but one thing is for sure, it's better to rebind some in-game. instead of leaving them alone, all of them in their standard. For example, it would be much better to rebind the secondary gadget to the "thumb" button on the mouse. On most gaming mice, this button is closest to your thumb.
Remapping it to the thumb button will allow you to throw the grenade with greater control and precision as you can control it with your mouse without removing any fingers from the wasd key. Another thing that worked really well for me was rebinding the tilt keys to "c" for left tilt and "v" for right tilt. That way when I do a quick flip I don't have to take my fingers off the wasd key and my thumb can do the flip.
In Siege, enemies can be in your sights at all times, so it's best to avoid taking your fingers off the keys. This way you will always be able to react to enemies.
What you need to set to:
- Rebind assistive gadgets to mouse "thumb" buttons
- Turn left and tilt back to C
- Rebind Tilt Right to V
- If you are re-connecting other people, avoid settings that keep your fingers away from the wasd keys.
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- go to check
- Find custom controls and customize your keys
5. I am a spatial specialist
To this day, many players do not know about Spatial Sound. But that's one of the best things about playing Siege. Spatial sound can improve your ability to determine whether a sound signal is coming from above or below. This is very important in Siege because as we all know it is not just a side game. Buildings on Siege maps consist of two or three floors, so it's always important to know when a sound you hear is actually coming from the same floor, below or above.
Spatial Sound is free on any Windows PC. All you have to do is right-click the sound icon on the right side of the taskbar on the desktop, hover over Spatial Sound and select Windows Sonic for Headphones. It is a free option and it works well. But if you want better spatial sound, I recommend DTS Headphone X. It works really well, it makes the sound signals in the game more nuanced, and since I started using it, I always know if the sound is coming from above or below or at the same level as my current location.
What you need to set to:
- Windows Sonic for headphones free
- DTS Headphone X Premium
How to apply the settings:
- On the Windows desktop, right-click the sound icon on the right side of the taskbar.
- hover for spatial sound
- Choose Windows Sonic for Headphones or DTS Headphone X
4. Nvidia game filters
Nvidia Game Filters is a powerful tool when it comes to visibility, another advantage is that it is very easy to add and test as you will be able to see the results immediately. As the name suggests, it basically adds filters to your game. Think of it like adding filters to your Instagram photos, just Nvidia gaming filters, it does it on screen, games basically have filters. This allows you to change the look of the game and make enemies easier to spot without sacrificing system performance.
But of course you don't want to change the look of the game. You just want to improve your images so that you can better distinguish enemies from the background or other objects on the screen. For example, the consulate garage area when you look down the yellow steps. Due to the black cars and floors, it is difficult to see enemies under the platforms. With Nvidia Game Filters, you can more easily distinguish enemies from black cars and black floors.
What you need to set to:
To Game Filters - Details
- Sharpen around 20-30
- Clarity 70-100
- Tons HDR - 20-30
- flourish - 0
For game filter - color
- Hue Color - 0-10
- Color intensity - 0-10
- temperature - default
- Vitality – 60-70
How to apply the settings:
- Go into the game and press ctrl + Z
- select game filter
- Add details and set it to the value given above
- Add the color and set it to the value given above
3. Syn
Higher vision values will give you wider peripheral vision, and wider peripheral vision is important for sieges as it directly affects whether you can spot enemies on your flanks. So make sure you set your Siege FOV to the default value of 65, as 65 won't make you less competitive. But I would also advise you to use a maximum FOV value of 90, because while a higher FOV value expands your peripheral vision, it can make your forward vision look further away. With that in mind, many pros run with a FOV of 90, but 80-85 isn't bad either.
I personally play 80. This is because 90 is too wide for me and the front seems too far away. FOV 90 also makes the image look weird, like a fisheye effect. But if 90 works for you, great. The point is that you don't stick to the standard of 65 or even 70 because it's too low. You need to be able to see enemies better in your peripheral vision, because as I mentioned above, in siege, enemies can appear from any angle at any time.
What you need to set to:
- 80-90
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- Show
- Find the field of view and set it to 80-90
2. 4:3 Ratio - LAN Championship
4:3 is the most popular ratio for professionals. When I look up settings used by top siege players, many of them use 4:3, which is understandable because 4:3 makes everything in the game look fatter. This directly affects how you see your enemies, and of course, the faster you see them, the faster you can react to them. However, like the FOV setting above, there is an issue with the aspect ratio.
The 4:3 aspect ratio sacrifices a lot of peripheral vision while providing a thicker image. This is probably why many pros also ride in a 90-degree FOV to balance peripheral and forward vision. That said, I only recommend 4:3 for players participating in live tournaments, and you'll see why in post #1. But if you're an online player and it's really hard to see the enemies, try online too, it might work for you.
What you need to set to:
- 4:3
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- Show
- Find the aspect ratio and set it to 4:3
1st Aspect 16:10 – Online
Now the legendary fencing pro Pengu tells about it in one of his videos. As for whether 4:3 is better or 16:10 is better, from the beginning of the video you can hear him saying that playing 4:3 makes everything look faster, which is really not a good thing, especially when you try to play 3 - speed when the operator. As he says in the video, they look like speed demons.
This is because of the delay of online games. No matter how good your server connection is, there will still be lag when playing online, and the binoculars' exaggerated edge of the stretched 4:3 aspect ratio will make everything run faster. This can cause enemies to move from one side of the screen to the other in a split second. Therefore, 16:10 is the best ratio for online. It does a good job of balancing front and perimeter views and doesn't make enemies look like they're moving faster than they really are.
What you need to set to:
- 16:10
How to apply the settings:
- From Siege's main menu, click Settings.
- Show
- Find the aspect ratio and set it to 16:10
